10/13: Meet in rm 812 @3:30 to rehearse poems before heading to Light of Hope Church for our first Open Mic. Transportation will be provided to church located at 1507 Hurt Rd. Marietta GA.
9/13 mtg:
1. Check email for meeting calendar. We will not meet next week 9/21st as I will be at the hospital delivering my baby boy Evan Leu.
2. Next meeting is October 5th. Have a poem you want to present during open mic at the church.
3. On Friday, September 16 there is an opportunity for any members to come and share their poems on consumerism and materialism to my 9th Lit class at 9:25am. See me for passes beforehand.
4. Poem Ideas:
-Color of Reality by Alexa Meade. Write a poem telling the story of these two movement artists in their struggle with dealing with racism in this country
